Vita
Born in Wiesbaden, Germany my initial musical orientation as a child began with piano lessons. My love of music led to my entering the Wiesbadener Musikakademie to continue my piano studies. As an adjunct to my major in piano, I also minored in Ear-Training and Music Theory. My adjunct training in orchestral musicianship was completed on the oboe. In 1995 I awarded my Diploma in Music Education from the Musikakademie.
As an adjunct to my piano studies, my discovery of a passion for music production led to internships with television brodcasters and radio stations (Hessischer Rundfunk, ZDF). As my passion and skill developed with these opportunities, I was also offered the opportunity to round out my experience in sound recording in film as well during an internship with Filmtone Studios (SoundVision Colone).
Based on these internships, I decided to enter the Hochschule für Musik Detmold to obtain a degree in sound production which would allow me to combine my musical pedagogy with the technology closely associated with it. In 2000 I earned the certification of Tonmeister upon completion of my degree.
I have been employed in the field of music production since my graduation, and am currently Tonmeister and Head of Studio for the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar. During this association I have also had numerous and unique opportunities to develop and produce freelance CD, DVD and Broadcast productions with well-known artists in Europe and abroad. These are listed in References section of this website: References.
In hindsight, I am very thankful for the time spent as a musician and the special affinity that I feel obliges me to support those with whom I work and to whom, in effect, I still belong.
